Customers include more than a dozen pharmaceutical companies who subscribe to the platform and related scientific/technical services to enable clinical trials of new medicines that are assessed using our digital biomarkers. The company has a capital efficient history, with early funding from Waterline Ventures and in July 2020 completed a Series B led by Spring Mountain Capital that included McKesson Ventures, Novartis Pharma AG,  MBX Capital, and participation from all existing investors. Koneksa has consistently achieved significant year-over-year revenue growth and is well funded to achieve profitability through organic growth.

Job Description

The Talent Acquisition Lead is a critical partner supporting Koneksa’s talent engine and candidate experience, rapidly building talent pipelines, and targeting the best players across varied industries and geographies, balancing a hands-on attitude and high-quality results. Additionally, the position is accountable for overseeing, coordinate, and drive all activities associated with in-house recruitment. A successful candidate will be a full-stack recruiter, working closely with hiring managers to define roles, craft job descriptions, and actively identify talent inbound and/or outbound-source, vet, and hire diverse talent across all of our rapidly growing teams.

The hands-on senior talent acquisition professional will demonstrate a can-do attitude. At the same time, leverage technology and proactively discover new and innovative channels for identifying top talent with a view on both short and long-term needs. The scope of this role includes all facets of the talent acquisition life cycle, spanning but not limited to resource planning, employment branding, strategic sourcing, talent selection, and pre onboarding activities. Additionally, this individual will have the opportunity to partner with the Human Resources team in talent management activities like diversity and inclusion strategy, workforce planning, employment branding, and engagement practices.

This role reports to the VP People and partners closely with the HR Generalist to accomplish the Talent Acquisition goals, meanwhile, support and advise the different hiring managers across the organization. Additionally, as Koneksa continues growing, this role might supervise the work of other talent acquisition professionals.

Due to COVID, this position will be partially remote and partially on-site. The candidate would be able and motivated to commute to NYC to support teams in a hybrid capacity (virtually and face to face).  The hiring manager is open to considering candidates in a full remote capacity, if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a versatile, consultative approach to understand the technical and non-technical capabilities needed by the different business areas to deliver an end-to-end patient-centric digital biomarker solution.
  • Strong capabilities to manage end-to-end the in-house recruitment model, including critical activities through Konksa’s  ATS and recruitment tools to accomplish expected headcount  goals and timelines
  • Strong influencing skills, adaptive communication style, and visible track record leading talent acquisition activities with and without authority.
  • Outstanding project management skills to effectively manage the full cycle of the recruitment activities, scoping, sourcing, screening, and supporting the selection of the best diverse candidates while maintaining priorities and deadlines consistently in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Strong track records of operating independently, work proactively, influence without authority,  and achieve optimal results while partnering with hiring managers at different levels of the organization. 
  • Consistently generate a diverse and healthy pipeline of high-quality candidates through multiple-channel sourcing, helping to drive initiatives associated with employment value proposition and branding, and articulating an effective employee referral program.
  • Ability to cultivate a successful network of passive diverse talent to fulfill future critical roles or high demand positions
  • Domain of versatile recruitment sources, digital Talent Acquisition practices, innovative recruitment, and selection technology while providing outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Establish, track and report Talent Acquisition metrics and analytics to gauge the degree of recruitment effectiveness expected and deliver continuous improvement
  • Experience managing external recruitment partners such as contingency and retained search firms within technology or similar industries.
  • Ability to benchmark recruitment best practices in successful startups, identifying tools, practices, and technology to enhance current recruitment model and support teams' fast-growing objectives plus organization scalability.
     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above. Preferable in Human Resources or related fields.
  • 8+ years of working experience and at least 4 years of experience as senior or lead recruiter, and/or talent consultant within a fast-growing startup.
  • Desirable industry experience as talent acquisition partner or similar roles within life-science, biotech, SaaS or high-tech companies.
  • Strong experience managing full cycle recruiting process, handling, simultaneously, multiple searches (technical and/or non-technical), in a fast-paced recruiting environment.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to build rapport quickly with hiring managers at different levels of the organization and with different working styles
  • Keen interest in the biomarker industry to articulate shop talk with technical, science and/or digital talent. 
  • Proven track record of establishing innovative recruiting initiatives, including developing creative sourcing strategies and enhancing recruitment practices with a particular focus on building a diverse pool of candidates for technical and non-technical roles.
  • Successfully track record delivering positive candidate/hiring manager experience, and a burning desire to continuously improve the way we hire.
  • Strong interviewing and closing skills. Preferred professional training in behavioral-based interviewing techniques and/or assessment tools.
  • Strong project management skills with visible track records managing competing priorities, planning, and prioritizing work activities; able to easily adapt as goals, priorities, and role responsibilities change, while completing deadlines and successfully achieving expected outcomes.
  • Strong capabilities leveraging technology and talent acquisition methodologies to assess and enhance current recruitment and selection model and practices.
  • Advance proficiency on computer/collaborative technologies, including flexibility to partner with colleagues through Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferable international recruitment and selection experience 
  • Domain of a second/multiple  language would be an asset.
