Job Description

We are looking for an experienced QA Documentation Engineer / Document Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in QA documentation, ITP, FTP, document control, and engineering documentation management within the Crane, Material Handling, Manufacturing, or Heavy Engineering industry.

This role requires close collaboration with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and global stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of quality documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Your key responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and deliver QA documentation for Port Cranes and Port Solutions.
  • Manage customer, internal, and external project documentation.
  • Develop, compile, and maintain Inspection Test Plans (ITP) and Factory Test Plans (FTP).
  • Coordinate with QA and Manufacturing teams to collect:
    • NDT reports
    • Painting reports
    • Paint thickness reports
    • Inspection records
  • Manage supplier documentation by:
    • Identifying required documents
    • Following up with suppliers
    • Performing quality checks
    • Uploading documents into company systems
  • Collect and compile supplier serial number documentation and customer document packages.
  • Ensure timely delivery of operation manuals, service documentation, drawings, diagrams, datasheets, and technical records.
  • Maintain document registers and document tracking schedules.
  • Monitor documentation progress and provide status updates to Project Managers.
  • Ensure compliance with document management procedures and quality standards.
  • Support adherence to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.

This role is based at our office in SP Infocity, Hadapsar, Pune, with flexibility for hybrid/remote working as part of our modern work culture.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 4-6 years of experience in QA Documentation, Document Control, or Engineering Documentation.
  • Experience in Heavy Engineering, Material Handling Equipment, Manufacturing, EPC, or Crane Industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • QA Documentation
    • ITP (Inspection Test Plan)
    • FTP/FAT Documentation
    • Document Control Processes
  • Experience working with technical documents, drawings, manuals, and engineering specifications.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Teamcenter is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with global teams and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 4-6 years of experience in QA Documentation, Document Control, or Engineering Documentation.
  • Experience in Heavy Engineering, Material Handling Equipment, Manufacturing, EPC, or Crane Industry preferred.
