We are looking for a manage the controllership activities involving accounting, tax and treasury to ensure the safeguarding of company assets, compliance with applicable legislation, application of the company's internal policies & controls and the timely & accurate financial reporting of results.
Job Description
- Advise the Presidency in the preparation of business plans related to necessary investments and return on invested capital.
- Ensure the financial profitability of business segments by analyzing and evaluating operations and recommending the necessary actions to achieve established goals.
- Ensure that accounting and financial reporting is carried out in accordance with appropriate accounting standards.
- Manage the treasury operations in a manner that optimizes the use of financial resources.
- Ensure that manufacturing costs are correctly calculated, complying with applicable accounting standards as well as tax legislation.
- Ensure that financial planning is carried out properly, with the best possible level of budgeting and forecasting with deviations explained and addressed as required.
- Promote a good working environment with open communication, both inside the finance department and between finance and other departments.
- Manage and oversee the company's tax functions, including calculations, timely payment of taxes and audits that can occur.
- Ensure that the company's internal policies and controls are applied and followed in Brazil.
- Manage the finance team in such a way that meets Konecranes' values and principles, including selection, training and promoting processes as well as during daily operations.
- Take charge and oversee all internal and external financial audits for Konecranes Brazil.
- Perform other related activities at the discretion of the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields.
- Postgraduate degree/MBA and specializations are desirable;
- Fluent English;
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the role;
- Mastery of organizational culture and values;
- Mastery of personnel development tools;
- Leadership and people management techniques;
- Technical Course Module EMS (financial and accounting);
- Mastery of credit and balance sheet analysis tools (e.g., sources of financial analysis, current assets, liquidity ratios, debit, credit) that allow for the evaluation and analysis of asset risks;
- Mastery of BR GAAP and IFRS.
- Knowledge of legislation (e.g., income tax, fiscal, tax);
- Knowledge of corporate governance;
- Knowledge of the financial market;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
- Availability for national and international travel;
