Job Description

The Revenue Accountant performs a key role in building a best-in-class revenue operation, resulting in accurate mid-month revenue reporting and day 1 revenue close. This candidate has a strong understanding of ASC 606 and will lead and execute the revenue recognition process in accordance with business objectives. Reporting to the Senior Revenue Manager, the ideal candidate is highly driven, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. This solutions-focused candidate will be responsible for building full-cycle revenue accounting operation, supporting the Senior Revenue Manager to scale the Order-to- Cash process in a rapid growth, fast paces, SaaS Environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop monthly revenue close process resulting in mid-month revenue reporting and an accurate and day-1 revenue close process.
  • Become an in-house product line expert, and develop revenue recognition standards and best practices across all product lines.
  • Preparing journal entries, flux analysis, and monthly reconciliations to determine the
  • completeness and accuracy of revenues in accordance with ASC 606 guidance.
  • Regularly review and analyze customer contracts to determine revenue recognition and identify performance obligations to automate revenue recognition using NS ARM.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Sales, and Sales Operations to ensure revenue recognition policies align with business objectives. Perform ad hoc analysis to support key stakeholders.
  • Assist with post-acquisition integration of revenue-related processes and systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years total experience and 3 years in revenue accounting and reporting.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite and ARM with proven ASC 606 background.
  • Support cash conversion cycle by managing and maintaining the automated A/R
  • billing function, dunning and collections processes to ensure timely cash collection.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to quantify and measure when communicating.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a high growth, high transaction volume department.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Salesforce experience and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
