Production Manager

In a fast-paced environment like production, the manager is an integral part of the manufacturing process. This individual guarantees that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows. They must be competent and comprehend complex operations. The supervisor must lead by example and optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs. Their goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.

This role requires 80% direct floor supervision and 20% administrative duties. The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Operations Manager.

The Job to be Done:

• Strategize with Operations Manager to set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
• Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures
• Check production output according to specifications
• Submit reports on performance and progress
• Oversee and coach employees
• Identify, implement, and drive continuous improvement activities
• Foster an environment of employee communication and high morale
• Train employees on how to safely operate equipment and follow procedures
• Ensure health and safety guidelines and followed

The Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience (3+ years) as Production Supervisor/Manager or similar role
• High School Diploma: Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantage
• Advanced skills in MS Office and/or Google Suite
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees  and management equally
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Strong leadership abilities
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• Attention to detail with ability to act & think analytically to meet job requirements

Preferred Technologies and Key Skills

• Experience with digital and/or film imaging concepts and software
• Experience with document imaging toolkits and file types (TIFF, JPEG, PDF, etc.)
• Familiarity with Project Management principles
• Familiarity with ERP software and tracking methodologies
• Experience in leading multi-shift production environments
