Kofile has an exciting opportunity for a senior level accountant to join our CFO organization. The Senior Accountant will primarily be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the company’s accounting records by analyzing, recording and reconciling transactions in the general ledger. This multifaceted role will not only assist with transactional GL accounting, but also with revenue recognition and commissions. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys managing details, improving systems and processes, and analyzing information to surface actionable insights for the business. The position reports to the Assistant Controller.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare assigned journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations to support timely and accurate monthly financial close process
  • Calculate monthly sales commissions and ensure properly accounted for in accordance with ASC 606
  • Assist with ASC 842 Lease Accounting standards implementation
  • Prepare flux analysis on monthly basis to understand trends and identify missing accruals, working closely with FP&A to provide explanations to management
  • Support annual audit process, taking active role in preparing year-end audit requests
  • Support and help to improve control environment
  • Other accounting duties and related projects as assigned

Must work in the office 3 days per week - THIS POSITION DOES REQUIRE THAT EMPLOYEE RESIDE IN THE DALLAS/FT. WORTH METRO AREA

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Full cycle GL accounting experience required (month-end, year-end close….etc.)
  • CPA (or progress towards certification) preferred
  • Prior experience with large ERP (Netsuite preferred)
  • Understanding of GL structure and accounting control requirements
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong excel skills over large amounts of data (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and Charts)
  • Team player with ability to collaborate with other departments outside of the CFO organization
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and exceptional time management
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
