Job Description

Kofile is seeking a Production Controller to ensure projects are delivered on time and within specification to our customers. In this key role, you’ll work cross-functionally to develop optimized production schedules that balance competing customer and internal priorities while ensuring business goals are met. In this role, the Production Controller will own the production planning process including forecasting, production planning, prepare production reports. The individual will have advanced knowledge of the production control function.

Some remote work available

  • Partner with functional leaders to plan, forecast and manage work force and production flow to improve efficiency
  • Develop and maintain the master production schedule by reviewing incoming projects, establishing priorities, and optimizing the schedule according to priorities, and resource availability (e.g., material, workers, equipment)
  • Coordinate with sales and operations on pre-production planning.
  • Utilize ERP and MES computer systems to manage and track production orders; automate processes where possible to enable efficient scaling
  • Identify risks and conflicts in production plans, develop potential solutions, and escalate to management as required
  • Forecast material, and labor demands based on the production schedule and coordinate with purchasing and production leaders to ensure orders are placed and adequate inventory is maintained to deliver uninterrupted production while also avoiding overages
  • Work with cross-functional teams to complete job orders on-time and within customer specifications
  • Monitor and report to executives on production progress, utilization along with identified KPIs.
  • Assist operations leaders in controlling production costs by identifying underutilized resources and / or waste generated through operation.

Qualifications

Requirement

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Science, Business, Supply Chain, or related area of study
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a like role – Production Control / Planning & scheduling.
  • Highly proficient in managing and analyzing data in Excel; pivot tables, filtering, sorting, reporting, charting & data analysis.
  • Certified in production & inventory management or supply chain management: APICS – CPIM or CSCP - Preferred
  • Strong computer skills and experience with inventory management.
  • 3-5 years as Planning & Scheduling experience in a manufacturing or service environment utilizing MRP/ERP tools.
  • Understanding of capacity planning, production smoothing, identifying & managing production constraints.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing & continuous improvement concepts.
