We are seeking a skilled and motivated Identity Engineer to join our team. While experience with Auth0 and Okta is highly desirable, we are open to candidates with a strong background in identity and access management (IAM), single sign-on (SSO), and cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn and adapt, receiving training to develop expertise in Auth0 and Okta platforms.

 

Salary pegged to AUD or Paid in AUD

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain identity and access management solutions.
  • Develop and configure authentication and authorization workflows, including single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and user provisioning.
  • Integrate identity management solutions with various applications, services, and third-party systems.
  • Implement and maintain user lifecycle management processes, such as user onboarding, offboarding, and role changes.
  • Configure and manage identity providers (IdPs) and identity federations.
  • Develop and maintain custom rules, hooks, and scripts to extend functionality.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices, including data encryption, access controls, and audit logging.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure proper implementation of authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve identity-related issues, provide technical support, and document solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide guidance on identity management best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience in implementing and maintaining identity and access management solutions.
  • Strong understanding of authentication protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth2, OpenID Connect).
  • Experience with identity federation and single sign-on (SSO) integrations.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Bash).
  • Knowledge of identity management standards and best practices (e.g., NIST, OWASP).
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web application development.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Auth0 Certified Professional, Okta Certified Professional) are a plus.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with Auth0 and Okta platforms is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Background in cybersecurity and understanding of IAM within the security landscape.
  • Experience in IAM and SSO roles with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
