Job Description

This role supports the Enterprise Division by serving as a strategic Human Resources partner to leaders across Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Operational Excellence, IT, and other enterprise functions. You'll be responsible for aligning business priorities with workforce, leadership, organizational, and culture initiatives that support sustainable growth and operational success. Success in this role means helping leaders build high-performing teams, proactively address workforce challenges, and create a positive employee experience, all while upholding KE's commitment to Safety, People, Passion, and Performance. What You'll Do

You'll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

Business Partnership and Workforce Planning

  • Develop a strong understanding of assigned functions' business priorities, operating models, workforce needs, and leadership challenges
  • Translate business and growth plans into workforce actions including capacity planning, talent priorities, and manager capability development
  • Advise leaders on organizational structure, role clarity, spans of control, and decision-making effectiveness
  • Anticipate workforce and organizational risks and facilitate timely action plans

Employee Relations, Performance, and Manager Coaching

  • Serve as the primary advisor to leaders on routine to complex employee relations matters
  • Coach leaders through performance management, attendance and conduct concerns, conflict resolution, corrective action, and employment decisions
  • Conduct or coordinate workplace investigations and document findings and recommendations
  • Identify trends in employee relations activity and recommend proactive solutions
  • Maintain accurate and timely case documentation

Onboarding, Employee Experience, and Culture

  • Support onboarding effectiveness by ensuring leaders are prepared and new employees are successfully integrated into their teams
  • Gather employee feedback through conversations, surveys, and other listening channels
  • Help leaders reinforce KE's values and foster a culture of trust, accountability, and performance

Talent, Leadership, and Succession Planning

  • Identify capability and leadership gaps and develop appropriate growth and development plans
  • Facilitate talent reviews, succession planning, critical role discussions, and development planning
  • Support internal mobility and career development initiatives across assigned functions

Organizational Effectiveness and Change Management

  • Support organizational design and restructuring efforts that align workforce capabilities with business needs
  • Develop and execute people-focused change management plans for significant business initiatives
  • Assess stakeholder impact, readiness, communication needs, and adoption strategies

Workforce Insights and Continuous Improvement

  • Use workforce data and business insights to identify trends in turnover, retention, engagement, and performance
  • Provide leaders with actionable recommendations and follow through on workforce initiatives
  • Contribute to HRBP tools, standards, and best practices that improve consistency and scalability
  • Partner with HRIS and People Operations to support HR technology adoption and data governance

Partnership Within and Across Human Resources

  • Partner closely with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning, hiring priorities, and retention efforts
  • Collaborate with Total Rewards on compensation, benefits, and market competitiveness discussions
  • Work alongside People Operations, HRIS, Compliance, and Leave Administration to support employee and business needs
  • Coordinate HR support across assigned functions and clarify ownership among specialized HR teams

HR Leadership and Support Team Oversight

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and day-to-day oversight of HR Generalist team members supporting the division

Qualifications

What You Bring

You're someone who shows up ready to work hard, learn fast, and contribute to a team that takes pride in doing things right. Successful candidates typically bring:

  • Seven or more years of progressive Human Resources experience, including substantial responsibility for advising leaders and managing employee relations matters
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated experience coaching leaders through performance, employee relations, talent, workforce, and organizational challenges
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and experience supporting employees across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience using workforce data and business information to influence decisions and recommendations
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to KE offices, project sites, and other business locations

Bonus Points For

  • Experience supporting construction, industrial, field-based, or similarly distributed operations
  • Experience working in a high-growth or rapidly changing organization
  • Experience with organizational design, change management, succession planning, acquisitions, or integrations
  • Experience working with a modern HRIS (Paycom) and manager self-service model
  • Professional certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP

We believe in paying for the value you bring to the team, and we aim to be competitive in every market we hire in.

Pay Range: $108,000.00 - $130,725.00 per year
