Job Description
Purpose
The Procurement Coordinator supports the Procurement Department through execution, coordination, document management, supplier onboarding, reporting, and administrative functions that increase the strategic capacity of Category Managers.
This role serves as the operational backbone of the Procurement organization by managing transactional and administrative activities associated with purchase orders, supplier documentation, vendor onboarding, material tracking, project support, and procurement systems.
The primary objective of this position is to reduce the administrative burden on Category Managers, enabling them to focus on supplier negotiations, sourcing strategy, forecasting, estimating support, category development, supplier performance management, and supply chain risk mitigation.
Responsibilities:
- Provide operational and administrative support to the Procurement team by coordinating procurement activities, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with company processes and standards.
- Support the lifecycle of procurement transactions, including purchase orders, supplier communications, contract documentation, vendor onboarding, and procurement system administration.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to collect, organize, and maintain required documentation, certifications, compliance records, and onboarding requirements.
- Monitor and communicate material status, lead times, delivery schedules, and procurement milestones while escalating risks, delays, or issues that may impact project execution.
- Manage procurement-related documentation, submittals, records, and document control processes to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and audit readiness.
- Facilitate communication and follow-up between Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Estimating, Legal, Finance, Project Management, and external partners to support project and organizational objectives.
- Maintain procurement data, reporting tools, dashboards, and tracking systems while supporting continuous process improvement and organizational efficiency initiatives.
- Assist with sourcing, estimating, supplier pricing requests, reporting, analytics, and other procurement activities that enhance visibility, support decision-making, and increase the strategic capacity of Category Managers.
Qualifications
Who We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Operations, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, operations coordination, project administration, construction administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience managing documentation, records, and administrative workflows.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience working within document management systems, ERP systems, or project management platforms is preferred.
- Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating across multiple departments.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
*This position will be on site in Goodhue, MN up to 5 days/week.

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $65,000 per year, which reflects a good-faith estimate based on market data and internal equity.
