Job Description
Job Purpose
This role supports the Energy division by leading concrete flatwork and pad installations that meet project and customer specifications. You’ll be responsible for coordinating material needs, interpreting prints, and directing a small crew to safely and accurately complete high-quality concrete work. Success in this role means delivering work that meets PSI break test standards and project timelines, all while upholding KE’s commitment to Safety, People, Passion, and Performance. What You’ll Do
You’ll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:
- Travel 100% Nationwide
- Lay out work and assign daily tasks to drive installation efficiency
- Perform concrete flatwork, including preparation, forming, pouring, finishing, and curing
- Ensure all concrete placed meets PSI break test standards
- Interpret and work from construction drawings and job specifications
- Request and verify concrete mix designs based on project needs
- Operate concrete tools and equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain accurate inventory of materials, forms, and tools
- Place and track material orders to support scheduling and avoid delays
- Coordinate material deliveries and ensure alignment with timelines
- Communicate with customers, engineers, and project managers
- Lead and train a small crew of laborers in safe and effective practices
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite while adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with daily task scheduling and workflow coordination
- Collaborate with Superintendents and Foremen to meet overall project priorities
- Contribute to daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and hazard mitigation
- Reinforce company installation and safety standards with crew
- Lead daily safety meetings and job talks
Qualifications
What You Bring
You’re someone who shows up ready to work hard, learn fast, and contribute to a team that takes pride in doing things right. Successful candidates typically bring:
- 1–3 years of proven experience in concrete masonry or concrete flatwork
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Knowledge of concrete mix designs, curing, finishing techniques, and PSI testing
- Strong organizational skills for managing inventory and material procurement
- Experience supervising small crews
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in varying outdoor conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver’s license required

The salary range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00 per hour, which reflects a good-faith estimate based on market data and internal equity.
