Job Description
As Senior Account Director, this role leads strategic client relationships and integrated programme delivery across healthcare and life sciences accounts. The role partners closely with Strategy, Creative, Medical, Project Management, and Production teams to align client objectives with commercial priorities and exceptional execution. This person provides day-to-day leadership to Client Services teams while driving account growth, delivery excellence, financial stewardship, and trusted client partnerships within regulated healthcare environments.
What You'll Do
- Lead senior client relationships across UK and EMEA healthcare and life sciences accounts, driving account performance, client satisfaction, and long-term partnership development.
- Own commercial delivery across assigned accounts, including forecasting, budgets, scopes of work, staffing plans, timelines, and delivery priorities in partnership with Project Management.
- Guide cross-functional teams across Strategy, Creative, Medical, Project Management, and Production to deliver integrated, compliant, high-quality programmes that achieve client objectives.
- Identify opportunities for organic account growth, contribute to account planning, support new business initiatives, and build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required:
- Several years of client service experience in advertising and marketing agency environments, including ownership of senior client relationships and integrated programme leadership.
- Several years of pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or medical communications experience with demonstrated understanding of regulated promotional environments.
- Experience managing complex healthcare accounts with responsibility for commercial performance, forecasting, budgets, scopes of work, and resource planning.
- Demonstrated experience working with multidisciplinary teams across Strategy, Creative, Medical, Project Management, and Production to deliver integrated campaigns across digital, omnichannel, CRM, print, and experiential channels.
- Experience presenting strategic recommendations, programme updates, and business reviews to senior client stakeholders while managing Medical, Legal, and Regulatory review processes.
Desired:
- Comfort and enthusiasm for using AI as a regular part of how work gets done.
- Experience supporting UK, EMEA, or multi-market healthcare accounts with regional and local stakeholder coordination.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing regulations, including experience working with Veeva, Zinc, PromoMats, or comparable Medical, Legal, and Regulatory review platforms.
- Experience identifying and delivering organic growth opportunities, supporting business development, and contributing to strategic account planning.
- Experience developing commercial scopes of work and partnering with Project Management and Finance to manage account profitability and delivery performance.
