Job Description

Performs a wide variety of regular and recurring complex accounting and financial analysis functions requiring full professional competency. Acts as a financial resource for directors assisting them by providing training in interpretation of financial data.  Responsible for gathering and reporting of statistics, and compiling benchmarking information.  Responsible for developing the annual budget in line with strategic and operational goals and objectives.  The position is the point of contact for budget and reporting activities, financial and program analysis, statistical record keeping, payer reimbursements compliance, Medicare cost report management, and provider compensation analytics.  In support of financial sustainability and transparency, the position is expected to provide independent audit, analysis, and decision support to appropriate executive management.  Analyzes and prepares monthly contractual allowance estimates.  Prepares variety of internal and external reports as requested.

Qualifications

What is required...

  • Financial Analyst:
    • Bachelor’s Degree Math, Statistics, Accounting or Similar
  • Senior Financial Analyst:
    • o Minimum of four years applicable experience in a hospital or a healthcare-focused industry
    • o Experience with Medicare Cost Report preparation and insurance payer contract negotiation
    • o Expert technical skills in Microsoft Office Excel and Access, SQL, VBA
  • Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education

What is preferred...

  • Knowledge of Medicare Cost Report and experience with Medicare Cost Report preparation software model
  • Knowledge of RVU-based provider compensation models
  • Experience with VBA and SQL coding language

Additional Information

Wage:  Financial Analyst wage range is between $32.87/hour and $46.41/hour.  Senior Financial Analyst wage range is between $38.67/hour and $58.01/hour. 

Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.   

FTE:  1.0 = 40 hours/week; this position may be eligible for up to 50% remote work.
