Job Description
The Consulting Physician is responsible for provision of high quality healthcare to patients by a Primary Care Team of healthcare providers comprising the Consulting Physician and up to six Advanced Practice Clinicians. Care provided by the Team will include evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and appropriate communication with patients and their designated family members, staff and external consulting services.
The Consulting Physician will be available to support the clinical work of the Advanced Practice Clinicians by providing consultation on individual patients they have seen (including re-interviewing and re-examining the patient when requested or when deemed necessary by the Physician), by reviewing documentation as needed, by assisting with response to incoming messages and clinical information as needed, and on occasion by filling in for an unscheduled absence by one of the Advanced Practice Clinicians. The Physician will also see a smaller number of patients directly.
The Primary Care Team is integrated with the clinic team of providers, nurses, medical assistants, and patient service representatives.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of appropriate License or Certification, including
- Washington State License
- Drug Enforcement Administration
- National Provider Identifier
- Completion of residency
- Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (maintenance required)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous exposure to clinic environment
- Previous supervisory experience
- Previous teaching experience

Wage: Wage is $282,473, this is a guaranteed base salary for the first year of employment. We anticipate a change to a team based production contract once we have built this Care Team program. Plus 10% employer contributioin to pension plan.
