Job Description

The Clinic Medical Assistant Apprentice is a KVH employee that is enrolled in a certified Medical Assistant Apprenticeship program.  The Apprenticeship program is intended to last one-year with the majority of the work and learning happening on-site, under the guidance of a preceptor.  It is an expectation that the Medical Assistant Apprentice will complete the program and take the Department of Health Certified Medical Assistant test and become licensed by the State of Washington.

Qualifications

What is required...

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Will need PRIOR to the program starting; Resources are available from KVH

  • Current CPR card for Healthcare Providers

Or

  • Current MA-R license from the Washington State Department of Health

Or

  • Current NAC license from the Washington State Department of Health

Additional Information

Wage:  Wage range starts at $16.99/ hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.

FTE:  1.0 = 40 hours/week

Shift:  Primarily Monday - Friday; 8:00a - 5:00p

Benefits:  This position is benefits eligible
