Job Description

The Urgent Care Technician, after a supervised orientation is responsible to the nursing and medical staff.  He/she facilitates smooth operation of the department and department communications. Some duties of the Urgent Care Technician include greeting & registering patients, rooming patients and preparing for provider exams, performing specimen processing, and performing Point-Of-Care-testing. 

Qualifications

What is required...

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current NAC license or MA-P or MA-C license from Washington State DOH
  • Current CPR card (maintenance required)
  • Must obtain X-Ray Technician Registration from the Washington State DOH within 90 days of hire
  • May be required to obtain MA-R license from the Washington State DOH within 6 months of hire

What is preferred...

  • Six months experience as an NAC or MAC in an acute care setting
  • Previous experience with Radiology studies

Additional Information

Wage:  Wage range currently starts at $20.46/hour and goes up to $31.01/hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience. This position may also be eligible to receive an additional 15% premium in lieu of benefits.
