Job Description

The Clinic Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for procedures necessary to support the provider to whom they are assigned with the goal of providing excellent patient care. Daily tasks include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, assisting with medical procedures, administering injections and medications, verifying and updating patient medical records for completeness, refilling medications, notifying patients of test results, and other assigned duties within the CMA scope of practice. This position may float to support other KVH clinics.

Qualifications

What is required...

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Appropriate Current WA state Certification (MA-C)
  • Current BLS card for Healthcare Provider (maintenance required)
  • Previous exposure to an Electronic Medical Records system

What is preferred...

  • Bilingual
  • Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant

Additional Information

Wage:  Wage range starts at $18.47 hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience. 

FTE:  1.0 = 40 hours/week

Shift:  Primarily Monday - Friday; 8:00a - 5:00p

Benefits:  This position is benefits eligible 

Union Status:  This is a non-union covered position
