Performs all aspects of Laboratory Testing, in include; specimen collections, scheduling, sample processing, analytical testing and equipment maintenance.  Processing of test requests for all outpatient & inpatient services.  Performs Point of Care, waived, moderate, and high complexity testing.  This position may require travel among all KVH locations.

What is required...

• MA-P or MA-C license from the Washington State Department of Health within 6 months of hire (maintenance required)
• Completion of an approved 4 year MT/MLS program with MT/MLS certification obtained within six months of hire OR completion of all science credits that meet the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) for moderate and high complexity testing with on the job training and MT/MLS certification.
• Completion of an approved 2 year MLT program with MLT certification obtained within six months of hire OR completion of all science credits that meet the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) for moderate and high complexity testing with on the job training and MLT certification

What is preferred...

• Previous experience in a high complexity testing environment
• MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP) or MLT(ASCP) Certification or equivalent at the time of hire

Wage:  Wage range will depend on level of license; MT starts at $28.71/hour and MLT starts at $23.41/hour.  Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.  Due to the current hours of this position there is an additional $2.25/hour for evening shift & $3.10/hour for night shift and when applicable, an additional $3.00/hour for weekends.

FTE:  1.0 = 40 hours/week

Evening Schedule:  8-shifts on/6-shifts off; 8:30p - 7:00a, shift may change to meet the needs of the department

Night Schedule:  8-shifts on/6-shifts off; 1:30p - 12:00a, shift may change to meet the needs of the department

Union Status:  This is a non-union covered position.
