Job Description

The Marketing & Communications Specialist (MCS) will manage and implement a community relations and marketing program to develop public awareness and goodwill toward the organization.  This position is responsible for outreach, advertising and media relations that reflect current organizational strategy. The MCS will develop and maintain communication channels with the organization’s multiple customers.

The MCS – Digital marketer is responsible for a large portion of the business's online presence. Focused on social media and website development and content the MCS- Digital marketer’s role is to design, create, and deliver marketing programs to support expansion and growth of the company services and products. The Digital marketer manages and executes a well-defined social media and digital strategy that increases the company’s brand awareness and generates inbound traffic.

Qualifications

What is required...

  • At least two years previous marketing/community relations experience
  • Washington State Driver’s License
  • Automobile liability insurance
  • Access to reliable car for transportation
  • Within one year of hire, must complete training in order to function as a backup Public Information Officer (PIO)

 

What is preferred...

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing or related field
  • At least two years previous marketing/community relations in a hospital, health care or human services setting
  • Previous experience with public presentation and speaking
  • Experience working with the media in preparing statements to the media and responding to questions from the media
  • WordPress experience
  • Proven experience delivering effective and innovative digital campaigns.
  • Proven experience delivering a variety of digital assets, including rich media online ads, and social media applications.
  • Experience managing successful social media campaigns, and a solid understanding of social marketing.
  • Solid understanding of web metrics, digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze and interpret data.

Additional Information

Wage:  Wage range starts at $24.61/ hour. Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.

FTE:  1.0 = 40 hours/week
