Job Description

Responsible for developing, coordinating, facilitating and implementing employee health and infection control program activities for Kittitas Valley Healthcare (includes all employees and services related to the hospital, outpatient, home and clinic care) at the direction of the Lead Coordinator of Employee Health.  Particular focus on training and facilitating medical staff, leadership, and employees to incorporate the principles of patient safety, infection control and quality into their everyday work.  Responsible for collecting and facilitating highly confidential and sensitive staff and patient information.  Demonstration of a high level of confidentiality is essential to this position. Collaborates with KVH Workplace Health in employee health services for KVH personnel, including volunteers, student interns and contracted workers, coordinating services with Human Resources. Maintains secure health records for all services delivered. Responds to all employee health related queries.  Collects and disseminates data on hospital acquired infections, and directs preventative efforts through compliance monitoring of best clinical practices. Conducts surveillance of multidrug resistant organisms. 

Qualifications

What is required...

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program & currently licensed in the State of Washington
  • Two to three years’ of experience (2-3 years) in acute care nursing
  • Previous experience with training, education, and group presentations in leading quality and performance improvement efforts
  • NIMS 200 & 700 certifications within 90 days of employment
  • Certification in Infection Control within 5 years of employment

What is preferred...

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Previous Employee Health experience
  • Previous Infection Control (3 years) experience

Additional Information

Wage:  Wage range starts at $36.67/hour.  Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience. 

FTE:  1.0 = 40 hours/week

Schedule:  Primarily weekdays, may occassionally take weekend call.

Union Status:  This is a non-union covered position
