Job Description

The Medical Director of Clinic Operations (MDCO) is an integral component of the Physician Leadership structure at Kittitas Valley Healthcare (KVH). Working from a solutions-oriented approach, the MDCO monitors clinical performance to ensure services and operations are in compliance with all KVH policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.  The MCDO serves as a liaison between the physicians, Medical Staff, Medical Executive Committee and the Clinic Council on issues related to standards of clinical practice, quality improvement and patients' safety consistent with the organization's identified values and mission.

In addition to the Medical Director of Clinic Operations role, this position also entails a half-time clinical practice, with an approximate 50/50 split between MDCO and Primary Care Physician roles.  

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

·       Graduation from an approved school of medicine and completion of an approved residency in an area of specialty

·       Board Certified and licensed to practice in Washington State

·       Previous experience as a Medical Director

·       Ten (10) years of clinical experience

·       Five (5) years of clinical administrative experience in a supervisory role
