This is for a Per Diem position., see additional information below.

The global responsibility of this position and all positions within the department of Imaging Services is to provide quality diagnostic images, comfort, and care for patients and employees at KVH.   The technologist is responsible for reviewing radiologic requests for appropriateness, verification of physician orders, and performance of the procedure in a safe, caring and timely manner.  In addition, the technologist must consistently produce quality images for the radiologist to interpret and report to the requesting physician. 

Qualifications

What is required...

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Satisfactory completion of formal training in an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • A clinical internship in an approved accredited school of Radiologic Technology

What is preferred...

  • One years’ experience in ultrasound

Additional Information

Must be available for any shift between 8:00a and 7:00p, Monday through Saturday.  This position will be expected to take "weekend call" rotation after an adequate training period; anticipated call 1 weekend per month (housing provided). 

Wage:  Starting wage is $30.88/hour + 15% premium in lieu of benefits.  Actual starting wage will be determined based on years of applicable experience.

FTE:  Per diem; fill in for sick calls and vacations
