Job Description

  • Pre-drilling of production boats
  • Attaching UMHW to hulls
  • Moving boats in and around the yard and shop with a forklit and/or overhead carne
  • Testing boats in water tanks for leaks
  • Work from shop copies, work orders, drawings, and other written instructions within tolerances required
  • Support Welders as needed
  • Shop floor or yard clean up and organization tasks


  • Safety oriented
  • Ability to use saws, grinders, and other power equipment
  • Experience working in a production facility
  • Experience in blueprint and work order reading
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Able to lift up to 60 lbs; heavy lifting is required

Additional Information

Working Conditions

  • Shift work for day, evening and weekends.
  • Regular periods during which there is continuous physical effort is required, e.g., walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward. 
  • Exposure to factors such as temperature variations/extremes, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, toxic materials which may cause periods of discomfort. 
  • Frequent need to give concentrated attention, either hearing or seeing to work being performed. 
  • Noticeable pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy or similar demands exists.
