Mechanical QA/QC Lead – Major M&E Projects

We’re looking for a Mechanical QA/QC Lead to join King & Moffatt Building Services and play a key role in driving quality, compliance, and successful project handover across our mechanical installations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical QA/QC professional who is passionate about quality standards, commissioning, inspections, and delivering projects right first time.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading QA/QC activities across mechanical building services projects
  • Carrying out site inspections and quality audits across installations
  • Ensuring works are completed in line with project specifications, drawings, and company standards
  • Managing mechanical inspection test plans (ITPs), QA checklists, and quality records
  • Supporting compilation and review of mechanical test packs and commissioning documentation
  • Managing and tracking NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and close-out actions
  • Coordinating snagging activities and ensuring timely resolution of defects
  • Supporting mechanical commissioning and handover activities
  • Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Teams, and subcontractors
  • Maintaining accurate QA documentation using digital QA platforms
  • Supporting client inspections, audits, and quality meetings
  • Promoting a strong culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across projects

 

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience in a Mechanical QA/QC, Mechanical Engineer, or Quality role within Building Services / M&E
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, installations, and commissioning processes
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial, industrial, or Data Centre projects desirable
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and handover documentation
  • Full driving licence desirable
