We’re looking for an Electrical Training Instructor to join King & Moffatt Building Services and help shape the future of our electrical workforce.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced electrician or electrical professional who enjoys mentoring, coaching, and supporting apprentices throughout their development journey across large-scale building services projects.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting apprentice recruitment and intake targets alongside Training and Recruitment teams
  • Delivering hands-on practical training across electrical building services systems
  • Coaching and mentoring apprentices on active project sites
  • Supporting apprentices through logbooks, assessments, and technical milestones
  • Carrying out skills assessments and development reviews
  • Maintaining accurate training, competency, and compliance records
  • Developing and updating training materials in line with industry regulations
  • Identifying site-specific skills gaps and delivering targeted support
  • Supporting apprentice onboarding and inductions
  • Working closely with colleges, training providers, and accreditation bodies
  • Delivering toolbox talks, refresher training, and safety briefings
  • Supporting apprenticeship career events and apprentice awards initiatives
  • Promoting a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous development

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

  • Recognised Electrical Trade or Engineering qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the electrical building services industry
  • Strong knowledge of wiring regulations, site safety, and industry best practice
  • Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting apprentices/junior tradespeople
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities across projects
  • Comfortable using digital systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Passion for developing people and supporting career progression
  • Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and quality workmanship

Desirable Experience

  • Certificate in Training & Assessment
  • Experience supporting apprenticeship audits or inspections
  • Previous experience within large-scale construction or M&E projects
  • Experience working across multiple sites/projects
