Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Microsoft 365 Engineer to support, manage, and enhance our Microsoft 365 environment. You will be responsible for administration, troubleshooting, security, and continuous improvement of Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Azure AD/Entra ID, and Intune. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 tenant operations and configurations

  • Manage and maintain:

    • Exchange Online (mailboxes, policies, transport rules)

    • Microsoft Teams (policies, governance, voice setup – if required)

    • SharePoint Online & OneDrive (site access, permissions, storage)

  • Implement identity and access management using Azure AD / Entra ID

    • Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, role-based access control

  • Manage endpoint and device security using Microsoft Intune

    • Autopilot, compliance policies, app deployment, device profiles

  • Monitor and troubleshoot M365 issues (L2/L3 support)

  • Support M365 migrations (on-prem to cloud / tenant-to-tenant)

  • Work on security & compliance controls:

    • DLP, retention policies, eDiscovery, sensitivity labels

  • Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell scripting

  • Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver enhancements

  • Maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration/engineering

  • Strong hands-on knowledge of:

    • Exchange Online

    • Teams

    • SharePoint Online / OneDrive

    • Azure AD / Entra ID

    • Microsoft Intune

  • Experience with PowerShell automation and scripting

  • Understanding of security best practices (Zero Trust, MFA, Conditional Access)

  • Experience supporting users in enterprise environments (ticketing tools like ServiceNow/Jira)

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
