Job Description
We are looking for an Advanced Manufacturing & Robotics Specialist to support automation, robotics integration, and smart manufacturing initiatives. The ideal candidate will work on deploying and optimizing industrial robots, PLC systems, and manufacturing automation solutions to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain robotics and automation solutions for production lines
Program and troubleshoot industrial robots (ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa, UR, etc.)
Develop and support PLC / HMI / SCADA systems for manufacturing operations
Perform root cause analysis and resolve automation, robotics, and equipment issues
Integrate vision systems, sensors, conveyors, and robotic end-effectors (EOAT)
Optimize cycle time, throughput, OEE, and overall production efficiency
Support Industry 4.0 initiatives including IoT connectivity, data collection, and smart factory solutions
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, quality, and production teams
Ensure compliance with safety standards and machine regulations (CE, ISO, OSHA)
Document automation designs, SOPs, maintenance procedures, and test results
Qualifications
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Automation Engineering (or related)
3+ years of experience in robotics, industrial automation, or advanced manufacturing
Strong knowledge of:
Robotics programming & commissioning
PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, etc.)
Industrial communication protocols (Profinet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus, OPC-UA)
Experience with sensors, actuators, drives, and servo systems
Understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and production KPIs
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with:
Vision systems (Cognex, Keyence)
Digital twin / simulation tools (RobotStudio, Process Simulate, RoboDK)
MES / ERP integration (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Knowledge of predictive maintenance and condition monitoring
Familiarity with additive manufacturing or CNC automation
Nice to Have
Experience in automotive, aerospace, electronics, pharma, or heavy manufacturing
Knowledge of cobots (collaborative robots) and safety-rated systems
Basic scripting skills (Python) for automation/data analysis
Certifications in robotics/automation or safety standards
