Liquid Development was founded in 2000 and is the largest outsourcing art studio in North America. Liquid Development is producing work at the forefront of modern game production, and the demand for our services continues to grow. Our team has contributed to AAA titles within the Halo, Mass Effect, Borderlands, and Call of Duty franchises.

Liquid Development expanded into Australia in 2026, and now consists of 30+ talented creatives across Australia. Liquid Development collaborates closely with Tantalus Media - together we create full scope projects for some of the biggest game publishers in the world.

These positions are preferably based in either Adelaide, Brisbane, or Melbourne. Other Australian cities will be considered as remote based. 

    Job Description

    Client Liaison & Communication 

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, external partners, and publishing teams, ensuring clear and timely communication.

    • Track and follow up on client requests, ensuring they are addressed and incorporated into the production pipeline.

    • Define, document, and refine production workflows in Jira and Confluence to ensure efficiency and transparency across teams.

    • Develop standardised processes for tracking and improving production pipelines, ensuring scalability and adaptability.

    • Formalise the estimation process, working with key stakeholders to establish assumptions, requirements, and feature scoping methodologies.

    • Implement best practices for tracking deliverables, ensuring consistency across multiple projects and teams.

    • Provide regular status updates to clients, proactively addressing questions and concerns.

    • Work closely with internal stakeholders (Executive Producers, Technical Directors, Designers, etc.) to break down client requests into actionable tasks.

    • Manage expectations and ensure alignment between client deliverables and internal development priorities.

    Productions & Operations Management 

    • Support internal teams by optimising production workflows and implementing best practices in Jira, Confluence, and other project management tools.

    • Maintain and improve documentation for production processes, pipelines, and client requirements.

    • Assist with scheduling, milestone tracking, and reporting to ensure development timelines remain on track.

    • Proactively identify and remove roadblocks, including technical, logistical, and communication challenges.

    • Collaborate with IT and technical teams to ensure tools and workflows support efficient production.

    Project Coordination & Support 

    • Ensure the financial health of the Keywords Australia group, including the appropriate management of resources, investments, and expenditures.

    • Work alongside producers, project managers, and development teams to coordinate project dependencies and priorities.

    • Assist in resource allocation by tracking team workload, capacity, and deliverables.

    • Support QA processes by ensuring client-reported issues are properly documented, tracked, and prioritised.

    • Identify and drive operational improvements to enhance team efficiency and output.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in Art production, operations, or project management role in the gaming, VFX, or entertainment industry.

    • Strong understanding of game development processes, from concept to launch and live service.

    • Experience managing client relationships, with a focus on clear communication and follow-through.

    • Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Trello, Asana, or similar).

    • Exceptional organisational skills, with a proven ability to track multiple workstreams and priorities.

    • Ability to interpret client feedback and translate it into actionable development tasks.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing project needs.

    • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

    Desirable Skills

    • Experience working within the Video Gaming Industry and knowledge of specific game development disciplines (e.g., art pipelines, coding practices, QA methodologies).

    • Relevant project management certification
