About your job

This is your opportunity to combine your passion for software engineering with the ability and desire to improve the flexibility, scalability and operational efficiency of our platform. You will work closely with our software development team when being part of our DevOps guild. We are mostly working as agile teams, you will need to use agile methodologies and tools. What you will do…

  • Manage and improve our highly demanding platform with the latest technologies based on AWS.

  • Co-design, build and operate scalable infrastructure components.

  • Apply software engineering solutions to solve challenging, often novel, requirements.

  • Monitoring problems detected by our systems and work quickly to understand and resolve them using this data as a source for further optimization of our backend.

  • Contribute to cross-team guilds (software engineers, product and Head of Technology) and their initiatives such as architecture, best practices & standards, mentoring and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience with similar responsibilities in a fast-growing startup, ideally in the SaaS industry.

  • In-depth understanding of AWS, some of its services and cloud architecture.

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g. via Terraform, Ansible).

  • Strong understanding of Linux operating system concept and Docker.

  • experience with Continuous Delivery and Continuous integration tools, such as Jenkins or GitHub actions.

  • Have experience in at least one object oriented programming language, preferably typescript.

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in software engineering or equivalent practical experience. A PhD is a huge plus.

  • Fluent in English languages, both written and verbal communication.
