Job Description

Provide an IT Network Subject Matter Expert that is a Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE) and specialized in Routing Switching. 

  • Engineer, design, install, configure, and optimize IT network systems. 
  • Provide system and engineering support for documented and approved projects and tasks. 
  • Ensure all engineered solutions are in compliance with DISA STIGs and OIG standards. 
  • Ensure engineered solutions are designed to maintain highest availability and service dependability. 
  • Develop and maintain documentation which will include but is not limited to Standard Operating Procedures and System Architecture Guides and Diagrams adhering to organizational templates, policies, and standards. 
  • Perform root cause analysis of critical outage and incidents, engineer permanent solutions, and coordinate implementation. 
  • Support the OIG Project Management Office and Enterprise Architect during requirement analysis to develop technical solution options. 
  • Provide OIG management proposed configurations, optimizations, and system improvement plans. 
  • Work closely with the OIG Project Management Office to establish and meet project milestones and deliverables. Ensure all solutions meet documented customer requirements and are within project scope. 
  • Follow all OIG Change Management and Engineering Review processes. Ensure changes are completed according to the project and/or release manager schedule. 
  • Work as part of a project team to engineer and develop migration plans for existing services ensuring minimal service interruption. 
  • Engineer and design hardware solutions to ensure capacity and availability of OIG services. 

Qualifications

  • Must be a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), specialized in Unified Route/Switch. 
  • Experience working in DoD Environment specifically assisting with the DODEA Data Center relocation effort and sustainment after the move to the Defense Information Service Agency, Defense Enterprise Computer Center, support of key OIG applications such as Defense Criminal Activity Tracking System Enterprise (DCATSe), Case Reporting Information Management System (CRIMS) and Data Analytics as well as assisting in daily tasks in regards to the DoD OIG network and infrastructure. The 
  • Must have Active Secret Clearance

  • Personnel Security: This DOD work effort involves classified and unclassified material. Personnel will require an active Secret clearance. Contractor personnel must possess the interim or final security clearance and interim or final IT-level eligibility when performance of contract starts. Personnel shall adhere to the Privacy Act, Title 5 of the U.S. code, Section 552a and applicable agency rules and regulations.
