Job Description
Are you an experienced electrical systems thinker with a passion for power distribution, drive systems, energy conversion, and storage? Do you thrive in complex project environments and enjoy working within a multidisciplinary team? Then we are looking for you as a System Engineer E&I at KenzFigee.
What will you do?
As a System Engineer E&I, you play a key role in translating customer and system requirements into robust electrical power systems. You’ll join our Engineering department (approx. 30 engineers) and be part of a dedicated E&I team of five specialists.
You’ll be responsible for the conceptual and basic design, managing the full technical process from specification to verification. As this is a new role, you’ll have the opportunity to pioneer and shape the direction of E&I engineering within our organization.
Your responsibilities:
• Drafting system requirement specifications (incl. ISO15288);
• Designing and specifying AC/DC power systems, drives, and energy storage systems;
• Performing studies including load flow, voltage drop, harmonics, short circuit (AC/DC), and selectivity analysis;
• Preparing technical procurement specifications and coordinating suppliers;
• Managing and reviewing the work of (detail) engineers and third parties;
• Integrating subsystems such as CCTV, lightning protection, AOL, HVAC, etc.;
• Preparing verification procedures and test plans (EITR, FAT, commissioning);
• Actively contributing to standardization, knowledge sharing, and process optimization within the team.
Qualifications
What do you bring?
• At least 10 years of experience as a System Engineer E&I in multidisciplinary projects;
• Higher professional or academic education (HBO+/MSc) in Electrical Engineering;
• Strong experience in power distribution, drives, and energy system studies;
• Solid understanding of systems engineering across all design phases;
• Experience with SKM Powertools, ETAP, and/or MATLAB/Simpowersystems;
• Familiarity with E-plan and Autodesk is a plus;
• Strong communication and organizational skills;
• Independent, precise, and takes ownership;
• Proven experience with supplier management and outsourcing.
