Job Description
Watson Security is seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician with an E-06 Washington state license to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our security systems division, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical components within security systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair low voltage systems, including security systems, access control systems, and camera surveillance systems.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Run and terminate low voltage cables.
- Configure and program security and access control systems, including keypads, card readers, and biometric devices.
- Install and align cameras, ensuring optimal coverage and video quality.
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality and compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with clients, coordinators, and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and service reports.
- Provide customer training and support on the operation and maintenance of installed systems.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Possession of a valid E-06 Washington state electrical license is required
- Proven experience in installing and maintaining low voltage systems, including security, access control, and camera systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The position requires a valid driver’s license
- OSHA10 Certification (certification can be received after hire)

Salary: $45 - $65 per hour, depending on skills and experience
The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
Hours: Standard business hours are 8am-5pm
Watson will provide an equipped Mobile Service Unit (van) for providing full-service installation and service work in the field in the Seattle area.
Physical Abilities: Perform repeated physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting (to waist and overhead), balancing, walking, stooping, the ability to lift at least 50lbs and handling of materials.
Working Conditions: Work conditions and work hours will change daily based scheduled service needs.
Indoor/outdoor environments ranging from construction sites to finished buildings. Cell phone and email used daily. Daily use of company vehicle.
