Keid Consulting are working exclusively with our client in their search for a Structural Engineer.

The purpose of the role is:
•To provide engineering support to PDM, Technical Services, and Sales as required.
•To respond to technical queries from site regarding specialist fabrications and other site related issues.
•To aid the Technical Services team by offering practical, cost effective solutions to problems posed by specifiers and product end users.
•To aid in the production of technical product specifications and take-offs for the purposes of pricing.
•Engineering Support
Manage and maintain daily technical referral workload in a self-managed and timely manner.
Producing bespoke engineered solutions for non-standard design situations as required for on-going projects within the PDM department.
Aiding in the maintenance and development of the standard design tools available to PDM/Technical Services.
Offering design/engineering guidance to internal teams and answer queries.
Verification of calculations produced by others.
Share knowledge and experience of masonry technology and design methods with others.
•Site related queries
oRespond to queries from site regarding the design and installation of Ancon products.
oRespond to reports of issues surrounding the use/installation of Ancon products by assessing the information provided to make a preliminary diagnosis.
oCarry out site inspections where issues are reported in order to fully diagnose the issue.
Essential requirements are:
•Engineering Degree plus 3 years design experience or HNC in relevant discipline plus 5 years design experience.
•Experience in related structural products and general construction.
•Experience in the design / use of products for masonry and concrete.
•Sound commercial skills applied to design and development
•Proficient in Autocad
•Proficient in Inventor (or other 3D CAD package)
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel
•Design/drafting skills
•Flexibility and ability to multitask
•Self motivated with a hands on approach
