What is a Product Marketing Manager?

The Keen Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating powerful and compelling messaging, content, and collateral for both prospective and customer audiences that drive the successful adoption of Keen’s products. This position will engage cross-functionally with our sales, account management, marketing, and product teams to help design, plan, and execute a product marketing strategy that drives product value comprehension and feature adoption.  This role will also be responsible for ensuring the Keen sales team and partners are enabled to deliver a consistently powerful message to the market about the unique value of the Keen Platform and its suite of applications.

What you’ll do as a Product Marketing Manager:

  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of the Keen Platform, including its features and capabilities.
  • Translate the value of Keen’s capabilities into compelling positioning, benefits, differentiation, and use cases that demonstrate a clear understanding of the target customer and current customers.
  • Develop and manage content for the full spectrum of product marketing activities, supporting our go-to-market strategy all the way through retention and expansion of existing clients.
  • Develop customer case studies, testimonials, and success stories to highlight the impact of Keen’s products, as well as the distribution channels to share those stories.
  • Assist with the planning and launch of new capabilities and releases; participate in managing the cross-functional implementation of those plans, ensuring all education, messaging, and marketing collateral is aligned with the product’s value proposition.
  • Stay current on industry news and events, industry analyst reports and social activity. Leverage these to educate key constituents and to drive awareness and demand generation for Keen’s products.
  • Review competitive offerings and drive ongoing differentiation as well as advocate for market positioning and product development strategies.

Qualifications

You’re an experienced marketer ready to take on a challenge. You can translate technical capabilities into simple, compelling, differentiated messages. You’re a self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced environment. You’re collaborative and comfortable working cross-functionally. You’re strategic and hands-on, and you’re experienced at presenting to both technical and business decision makers. This is an exciting opportunity to help define, build, execute, evaluate, and evolve the product marketing function.

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience, specific experience in SaaS, a plus
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and have a proven track record of successful product launches, initiatives/programs
  • Able to understand and explain technical concepts and ideas in a clear, concise, and logical manner
  • Strong writing and content development skills
  • Passionate about creating high quality content and measuring its effectiveness
  • Experience working with B2C marketers, comfort with technology
  • Experience and passion for working for a rapid growth business
  • Excellent listening, collaboration, and networking skills to enable positive interactions with colleagues, cross-functional teams, executives and third parties
  • Empathy and a drive for excellence
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing start-up environment
  • Must be driven and self-motivated
