Job Description

You are an analytical, service minded business professional with over 3 years of Instructional Design experience. You have a knack for making complicated and technical instructions understandable and enjoy creating course content, scripts, job aids and material. You have well defined organizational and planning skills and a desire to produce high quality deliverables. 

As a KeenAlignment Instructional Designer you write technical training Design documents, course content Drafts, scripts, materials and tests for high tech hardware and software engineering focused learner audiences. You enjoy being a part of a high performance remote work team. As a content developer you get to interact with the Sr. ISD/Program lead, the Storyline developer, Voice over and video team. 

You pride yourself on your ability to balance your solution-oriented and critical thinking skills with excellent questioning and listening abilities to glean information from your subject matter experts. You enjoy writing and sharing your knowledge in the written word. You thrive in a role where you are required to collect data from a variety of resources, assimilate information and formulate new content.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Writing, Journalism, Communication, Instructional Design, Learning or Instructional Design Certification, or Training and Development  
  • Minimum of 3 years of Instructional Design/writing experience preferably focused on technical or mechanical content 
  • Excellent Writing Skills 
  • Demonstrated knowledge in curriculum development 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the ADDIE or SAM instructional design model  
  • Storyline exposure / basic understanding 
  • Strong MS Office, specifically MS Word & Powerpoint – Use track changes 

Additional Information

Location: Anywhere, Must be able to work for a US company 

Contract position: for up to 6 -8 months

Hours: up to 20 hrs/week
