On behalf of my client we are recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant for night shifts to join an outstanding organisation within the Chelmsford area. This is a home for elderly residents with dementia. You must have at least one years experience within the care sector as a care assistant, and have good numeracy and literacy skills. A warm and friendly disposition. Good communication skills, able to put others at ease. A strong team worker. Reliable and punctual.

The shifts are 8pm-8am and can be on a 36hr or 48hr week. 

As part of the care team, you will be responsible for planning and providing exceptional care to the residents with a focus on delivering a personalised experience for every resident. My client wants their residents to live a purposeful and meaningful life and believe that is the responsibility of everyone in the home.

To provide the highest level of personal care (toileting, washing, bathing etc) and attention to residents, following individual care plans carefully and ensuring that all contact is polite, friendly, warm and supportive. To act as a key worker for a named group of residents, ensuring that these responsibilities are carried out in full. To understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements which are relevant such as Health & Safety, COSHH, all aspects of the Care Standards Act, to maintain a safe environment throughout the Home.
