Registered Children's Home Manager

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to oversee a 4-bed therapeutic children’s home based in the Knowsley area. You must have previous managerial experience working within a children's home and ideally have your QCF level 5 in children & young adults. 

You will work as part of a team endeavouring to provide quality residential childcare services for vulnerable children within a safe and secure environment. Work within the framework of policies and procedures and oversee the strategical development and operational management of the Childcare Services. Ensure that all young people receive high levels of care in accordance with Ofsted’s Standards. Foster positive working relationships with all stakeholders and to embed good working relationships between individuals and teams. Act as safeguarding lead for the home and be responsible for implementing, monitoring and reviewing all Safeguarding practices, to ensure the safety, security and well-being of all vulnerable children.

You must have up-to-date knowledge of Childcare legislation, Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards and Children's Homes Regulations 2015. To ensure that the home meets the standards and expectations of its Statement of Purpose; and promote safeguarding and welfare of residents. Extensive experience of working with children with challenging and emotional behaviour in a residential care setting. Experience in a residential setting, including staff recruitment, supervision and development. Experience of budget management and change management. To establish and maintain an excellent, motivated and competent team of staff and support them at all levels. Commercial awareness in a child centred business. As a Children's Home Registered Manager you will have overall responsibility for the day to day running of the Home in line with my clients Services policies and procedures, Ofsted requirements and Local Authorities expectations. You will also be expected to take on call responsibilities when required.

This is a full time position, with the salary £33,000 - £37,000
