Job Description
KARANA is ripe for new talent in our Finance Department looking for a mid level Financial Services Manager. We start part-time with contracts that can potentially turn into longer term or direct hire roles over time. There is a lot of opportunity to grow and scale with the team if you are the right fit and Series A funding is secured. KARANA is looking for an experienced finance professional who can support our finance department in two markets. Y
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities :
Manage financial services in both markets (US & APAC)
Vendor lead for both APAC and US.
Manage outsourced accountants to deliver monthly reports on time and accurately
Weekly Report and Expenses, payments approval
Provide financial overview and cash flow forecasts to founding team weekly
Monitor cash balances and communicate to founders
Monitor team spending plans and present to founders for approval
Ownerships of reports and dashboards for founding teams
Monthly P&L review
Managing Carta 409A valuation review once per year with co-founder
Issuing Options for all new hires on Carta
Sending monthly investor updates on PaperstreetCompany-wide project management
About You: Confident in your capabilities, looking to draw upon your skills and experience to lead and execute on a range of finance projects and ensure that strategic business goals are met. You will be a key confidant and work closely with the founders. You are a perpetual learner who finds ways to get things done and smash through barriers. We are not a large matrix organisation, so decision making is lean and fast—no micromanaging or box-ticking efforts. A lot of opportunity to grow with the company as we scale and build out the team and organisation.

7- 10 years of proven success in fast paced and high performing environments e.g. high growth start-ups, strategy consulting, VC, investment banking
You're highly organised, proactive, and enjoy rolling your sleeves up in a fast-paced team environment
Superior interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally
Data driven and analytical in your approach
Global market experience a plus
Language skills a plus
You will be a crucial member of the KARANA team helping shape the business and team as we expand and grow. You will do this by diving headfirst into financial tracking, reporting challenges. Working knowledge of Singaporean Banking rules and regulations, customs a plus.
