Job Description

The role is accountable for delivering high‑quality global sourcing outcomes while ensuring effective demand management, prioritization, service levels, and reporting for internal stakeholders

  • Personally lead strategic, complex, or business‑critical sourcing across regions and business units.
  • Conduct end‑to‑end sourcing activities, including Market analysis, global supplier scouting, Supplier pre‑qualification and benchmarking
  • Provide senior sourcing expertise and hands‑on support in escalated or high‑risk situations.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of Global Sourcing Managers across regions.
  • Define clear goals, priorities, and expectations aligned with global business needs.
  • Allocate sourcing work between the Team Lead and team members based on complexity, risk, and capacity.
  • Act as the senior interface between internal stakeholders and the global sourcing organization.
  • Proactively capture and consolidate global sourcing demand across business units and functions.
  • Lead and coordinate global sourcing initiatives across business units (e.g. Energy from Waste, Renewable Gas, Carbon Capture, Systems & Services).
  • Contribute actively to strategic discussions by bringing market intelligence and sourcing insights.
  • Combine reporting insights with personal sourcing experience to support management decisions.
  • Ensure disciplined use of sourcing tools, ERP systems, and relevant processes.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide continuous feedback, and support individual development plans.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience in sourcing or strategic procurement, team leadership, international experience
  • Master's/ bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering or similar
  • Fluent English, other languages will be considered as a plus
  • Category management methodologies, supplier and contract management  
  • Player-coach leadership style with strategic thinking combined with strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Experience in a senior sourcing or lead role combining operational delivery and leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of global markets, supplier qualification, and sourcing strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex sourcing projects end to end.
