Job Description

Kanadevia Inova is hiring an O&M Maintenance Manager for our Earls Gate Waste-to-Energy Centre in Grangemouth, Scotland.

This role is directly responsible for the personnel and activities of the plant maintenance departments and is cooperatively accountable with other management personnel for maintaining continued operation of the facility in compliance with established safety regulations and procedures, environmental regulations, production schedules and output requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage the maintenance department, providing direction, coaching, and support to maintenance engineers and technicians.
  • Ensure plant availability and reliability targets are achieved in line with contractual and operational requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, outages, and shutdowns involving internal teams and contractors.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, equipment upgrades, and maintenance strategies to enhance safety, efficiency, reliability, and cost performance.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and expenditure while identifying opportunities for cost reduction and operational optimisation.

Qualifications

  • Extensive maintenance experience within Energy from Waste (EfW), power generation, process industries, or similar heavy industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading maintenance teams in a complex operational facility.
  • Strong knowledge of predictive, preventive, and reliability-centred maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience implementing and managing Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of waste processing, resource recovery, materials handling systems, or related technologies would be highly desirable.
