Job Description

  • Lead the international Group Tax function and define its strategy, roadmap, operating model and risk framework. 
  • Advise the CFO, Deputy CFO and senior leadership on major tax risks, opportunities and business decisions. 
  • Build and continuously enhance a scalable and well-governed tax operating model across HQ, the SSC and the wider Group. 
  • Lead and develop the Group Tax team, ensuring clear responsibilities, effective collaboration and sustainable capabilities. 
  • Oversee tax complianceand reporting across all relevant tax disciplines, including corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing and Pillar Two. 
  • Lead the management of material tax positions, audits and tax controversy, and maintain relationships with tax authorities, auditors and external advisers. 
  • Provide strategic tax leadership on major EPC projects, contracts, financing transactions, M&A, post -merger integrations and cross-border restructuring. 
  • Drive tax transformation through governance, controls, KPIs, technology, data, automation, digitalisation and IFS/OneERP. 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Tax, Law, Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field; a recognised tax or legal qualification is preferred. 
  • Typically 15+ years of senior international tax experience within a complex multinational organisation. 
  • Proven leadership experience within a Group Tax function, including designing and implementing tax governance frameworks, internal controls and operating models within a multinational environment. 
  • Strong expertise in international and Swiss corporate tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax, tax reporting and Pillar Two. 
  • Experience with M&A, tax controversy and complex cross-border business activities. 
  • Background in engineering, construction, manufacturing, energy or a project-based environment is preferred. 
  • Strategic and pragmatic leader with strong technical judgement and experience advising senior executives. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; fluent English is required, with German as a strong advantage.
