Job Description

  • Has the responsibility and ability to complete manual tasks in the field
  • Responsible for the preparation, control and storage of project documentation
  • Manage and coordinate all commissioning activities in their system scope
  • Ensure that the requirements of the design, customer contract and the project-specific specifications are met.
  • Provide input to the project time schedule when required
  • Identify deviations and risks and act in co-ordination with the technical departments 
  • Conduct and check progress control
  • Responsible for delegating instructions to the assigned employees on the construction site
  • Contact person for the customer on the construction site for commissioning and operational matters as requested or instructed by the commissioning manager.
  • Responsible for regulated and safe operation
  • Is aware of the HSE requirements relevant to the function, implements them and complies with them 
  • Responsible to ensure all Commissioning QA/QC and hand over documentation is completed before takeover/PAC for his system scope.
  • Communicate with Engineering and create lessons learned to improve the process 

Qualifications

  • Experience on large-scale industrial plants as a commissioning engineer
  • Experience on KVI or Energy from Waste plants an advantage
  • Thermal Plant (EfW, Biomass, Coal, Oil) process and operating knowledge
  • Experience in complex construction and commissioning projects
  • SMSTS/IOSH/NEBOSH Equivalent Supervisor Qualification
  • Business fluent in English, German or other foreign languages an advantage
  • Good knowledge and experience in Microsoft applications
  • Valid SCC training certificate or equivalent (Safety Certification for Contractors)
  • Basic knowledge of sub-contractor management 
  • User knowledge of PIRS (would be an advantage)
  • Good knowledge of function plans and PID (R&I Schema)
  • DCS system knowledge
  • Ability to manage subcontractors
