Job Description
We’re seeking an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Weighbridge (Plant) Attendant to join our team at our Slough site.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day site operations. You will need to have previous Weighbridge experience and ideally administration, traffic management, and health & safety compliance, experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operate the site weighbridge and manage all associated administration, traffic control, and delivery scheduling.
Oversee incoming deliveries and outgoing collections, ensuring compliance with operational and HSE standards and support planned and unplanned maintenance activities, including responding safely and efficiently to blockages or system issues.
Assist with plant operations as required, including forklift or telehandler use plus general site cleaning duties to maintain high standards of site housekeeping, ensuring cleaning schedules are completed to specification.
Conduct regular plant inspections, identifying and reporting defects, hazards, and non-conformities.
Ensure compliance with the Plant Operating Permit (PPC/Environmental) and all relevant waste management regulations and report accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly in line with company procedures.
Qualifications
Previous Weighbridge experience as part of a Plant Attendant role from an operational / maintenance environment, ideally within energy, waste, or industrial sectors.
A strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Good organisational and administrative skills with strong computer literacy.
Forklift or Telehandler licence (desirable).
Proactive, safety-conscious, and a team player with a flexible attitude.
- Comfortable working from heights and confined spaces, plus carrying out some heavy lift and operating vehicles onsite.
