O&M General Attendant required for our Earls Gate Waste to Energy (WtE) plant, located in Grangemouth, Scotland,

The General Attendant works as a member of a small shift team and is responsible for the safe, efficient monitoring of the plant in line with business need. Safe and efficient plant maintenance and improvement activities include:

• Demonstrates commitment to HSEQ and ensures safety hazards are mitigated in consultation with management and the HSE team.
• Takes a proactive approach to site safety and participates in safety improvements, reporting any accidents, incidents, or near misses.
• Ensures compliance with Plant Operating Permits, environmental regulations, and safe waste management practices.
• Monitors plant inspections, handles emergencies, and supports maintenance to ensure jobs are completed safely.
• Maintains plant housekeeping, adheres to COSHH guidelines for chemicals, and participates in fire drills and evacuation exercises.

• Experience in a similar role
• Experience/qualifications in the use of Fork Lift Truck (FLT), in operating mobile plant and experience of Front-Loading Shovel (FLS) vehicle also advantageous. Training also provided.
• Familiar with HSE standards, procedures, and requirements and control plant operations in a safe and efficient manner
• Must have the ability to react quickly and with good judgment during emergencies.
• Language: English
