Job Description

  • Identifies and flags risks impacting project margin, proposing corrective actions (e.g. accrual bookings, utilization of PAP)
  • Manages risks and ensures internal control compliance on site
  • Monitors the engagement of subcontractors and controls partners’ expenses on site (cost recognition and creditor invoice payment)
  • Controls the local procurement process (“site orders”) and maintains forecasts and establishes tracking system
  • Maintains the project POC accounting calculation (if onshore scope is reported independently) - Interfaces with supply management to secure deliveries, orders and invoice correctness
  • Provides commercial support to Site Manager
  • Cooperates with regional and HQ accounting
  • Manages the local expenses (petty cash, credit card, cheque book, project bank account, etc.)
  • Monitoring of cost of sales and analysis of deviations from the project plan
  • Provides regular project forecasts / cost to complete
  • Works closely with Lead Project Controller, Project Director, TPMs, Site Supervisors and Site Accountant (if applicable)

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project controlling and / or project accounting
  • Good command of SAP (PS, SD, MM, FI)
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office (especially MS Excel)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (other languages are an asset)
  • Strong understanding of project controlling and financial management
  • POC accounting experience under IFRS
  • Experience in planning and business analysis
  • Able to adapt and develop commercial processes
  • Ability to work independently and establish structures in new environments

Additional Information
