Job Description

Do you love to code and have a natural talent in solving challenging problems? You ask the right questions, identify problems, investigate the root cause, and formulate and build creative solutions. We encourage students studying any computer programming-related discipline to apply as this is a unique opportunity to learn more about how a global market leader builds products at scale for a worldwide audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will have a chance to work on real projects that will be deployed to our users

  • You’ll take part in product development conversations with our engineering team

  • You’ll address software challenges encountered by students, parents and schools, and propose optimal solutions

  • You'll practice analysing and debugging code based on feedback from real users

  • You’ll monitor application health and usage behaviour using data analysis techniques

While we do not have a requirement of experience with our tech stack, prior knowledge of web development and MVC frameworks are a bonus. The following are the technologies you will likely work with in an internship with kami.

Qualifications

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • You’re really good at analysing and solving coding problems

  • You can write clean, well-structured code

  • You enjoy learning new things

  • You have a strong work ethic and are used to getting tasks done on time

  • Prior experience with open source projects is a bonus

  • Prior experience with web development is a bonus

  • Having worked on personal projects of significant complexity is a bonus

  • You are empathetic and patient towards users’ and colleagues’ needs

  • Excellent at communicating or explaining your solutions to the rest of the engineering team
