Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and review personal, corporate, and partnership tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. 

  • Client Management: Act as the main point of contact and trusted advisor for clients, managing client relationships and engagements effectively. 

  • Tax Advisory: Research and address complex tax compliance matters to provide expert guidance and solutions to clients. 

  • Financial Analysis: Review financial statements to offer strategic insights and identify potential areas of improvement for clients. 

  • Financial Planning: Develop and review tax projections to help clients plan for their financial future and make informed decisions. 

  • Collaboration: Work with payroll, financial services, and IT teams to comprehensively meet client needs and deliver holistic solutions. 

  • Presentations: Lead internal and external presentations on diverse financial and business subjects, showcasing your expertise. 

  • Team Leadership: Coordinate engagement activities with Assistant Managers, Junior Managers, and Staff Accountants. 

  • Time Management: Ensure timely and efficient management of time pressures and deadlines to achieve firm goals. 

  • Professionalism: Uphold the company's vision and values while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm in all interactions. 

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications: 

  • CPA or EA certification required, with a strong commitment to obtaining it promptly if not already obtained. 

  • 4–6 years of proven expertise in tax preparation, compliance, and advisory services. 

  • Proficient in software programs, including Outlook, Excel, Word, QuickBooks, Qount, and tax-related tools. 

  • Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities efficiently. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive client and team relationships. 

  • Demonstrated integrity, honesty, and dependability in all professional endeavors. 

  • Resilience and enthusiasm to excel in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. 

  • Exceptional time management skills to consistently meet deadlines effectively. 

  • Confident presentation abilities, capable of leading discussions on financial topics. 

  • Adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams to address diverse client needs. 

Additional Information

Compensation: Depending on experience, starting at $75k/year, with a commission incentive when commission exceeds the annual compensation.
