Job Description

Kaizen Assurance is a growing audit firm looking for an experienced, detailed, results-drive, motivated Audit Director. The Audit Director will oversee our team of experienced auditors, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure that audits are completed effectively and efficiently.  A successful Audit Director will construct well-organized and complete audit evidence and documentation in a manner consistent with firm and industry standards and to support conclusions reached. The Audit Director will assume the responsibilities for the performance for audit and accounting engagements. Prepare financial statements including disclosures for audit, review, and compilation engagements. Prepare corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns. Building a good rapport with clients and co-workers is essential; leading presentations on varied subjects is a requirement.  The Audit Director will have a high level of technology expertise and will assist in the development and implement modern audit processes. A successful Audit Director ensures professionalism and independence and the constant appearance of professionalism and independence. Time pressures, due to various tasks and deadlines, must be managed efficiently to be successful in achieving firm goals. Integrity, honesty, dependability, enthusiasm, positivity, resilience, organization, time management, and professionalism are demonstrated daily in this position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA or CIA certification preferred, or desire to obtain required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Thorough understanding of auditing principals, practices, and standards, as well as industry regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and tight deadlines.
  • Technologically savvy, demonstrating the ability to adapt to ever changing technologies and learn functionality of new equipment and systems.
