The Accounting Tech & Training Coordinator will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing the implementation of a variety of existing and future technology tools. The position will also develop training materials to help support the learning needs of new and current employees in both technology and department-specific processes and procedures. The Accounting Tech & Training Coordinator must be able to quickly learn technology systems, processes, and procedures to facilitate the training programs they develop and deliver, as well as attend external product and system training and be able to use that knowledge to accelerate the adoption of current and new technology systems. The Accounting Tech & Training Coordinator must work autonomously and in a team environment.

As Accounting Tech & Training Coordinator you will: 

  • Provide technical support across the firm (this may be in person or over the phone).
  • Possess a strong understanding of firm accounting processes.
  • Develop and deliver training modules across a variety of existing and future technology tools, including Microsoft Teams, Office suite (Microsoft Office 365), Qount, LMS, Passportal, and other internally developed systems available for staff.
  • Promote and enable the use and adoption of Learning Management System (LMS) online training courses to support ongoing end-user learning.
  • Troubleshoot behind-the-scenes tech issues by being a liaison with support or customer service for our tax suite and CRM platform.
  • Prepare and provide IT orientation training for all new employees.
  • Coordinate, track, and manage training plans, objectives, and assessments for all internally delivered training.
  • Participate in product acquisition, upgrade, and transition planning to identify new training needs.
  • Gather feedback from end users to determine optimal effectiveness of design and content.
  • Research and apply current best practices for delivering effective training scenarios.
  • Consult with COO to identify specific departmental training needs, and formally report on the best mechanisms for delivering content to their respective department employees.
  • Provide ongoing user support for a variety of technology systems in order to better understand areas where large-scale training can reduce the need for repetitive individual consultations.
  • Must be willing to work occasional night and weekend assignments.
  • Must be willing to travel to all US locations.
  • Willingness to travel to India office, preferred, but not required.
  • Perform additional miscellaneous job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Prior accounting knowledge preferred.
  • Experience conducting training sessions both in-person and remotely.
  • Must be technically savvy with the ability to adapt to ever changing technologies and learn functionality of new equipment and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly as it relates to explaining both simple and complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Expert knowledge of all Microsoft products, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Teams and Office 365.
  • Well-versed with Adobe software.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Ability to thrive in a high paced, complex team environment.
