Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to join our Health IT Business Analysis team. As a business analyst you will work with complex system changes across multiple stakeholders and business areas.
We require a highly capable leader who is organised, able to thrive under pressure and is comfortable engaging with both business stakeholders and technical teams. The BA is responsible for building a collaborative relationship between business and IT; ensuring expectations are managed and understood.
The day-to-day role will involve understanding business needs, analysing requirements and translating them into technical functional specifications. The BA will work collaboratively with the IT department, to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into system development and delivered within budget and on time.
The Role
Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Managing, controlling and reporting on all system changes impacting business.
• Collaborating with product owner and business to ensure business requirements are accurately converted into functional specification documents.
• Collaborating with IT Developers to ensure system changes are built, tested, and delivered.
• Engaging in project meetings to ensure project goals are understood and IT project deliverables are reported on and delivered.
• Working closely with Product Owners to ensure product is understood and set up correctly at a system level.
• Working closely with Product Owner to ensure product changes can be configurated or developed in the System (within budget and on time).
• Collaborating with the Data Team to ensure Data is structured correctly, front and back-end systems reconcile and discrepancies are understood, communicated and escalated.
• Reporting to senior management at regular intervals to provide a view of the system landscape – communicating risks and issues as required.
• Analyse business processes and recommend projects to improve the effectiveness of those processes.
• Supports the development of colleagues through knowledge sharing and mentoring.

Education
• Batchelors Degree in Computer or Data Sciences (preferred).
• Advantageous- Qualifications in:
o Project management (Prince, Agile, PMP).
o Business analysis and design.
o Enterprise architecture models or methods.
o Software development.
o Data analysis, trending, reporting, visualisation or other data techniques.
Work experience:
• 3-5 years working experience in a Business Analysis position (Ideally in Health Insurance Industry).
• Experience creating business requirement and functional requirement documents.
• Practical work experience on systems development projects and business improvement initiatives.
• Practical experience working on inter-departmental system analysis activities and deliverables.
• Demonstrable business analysis skills, such as business process mapping, systems and data analysis, process modelling and the production of high-quality written documentation.
• Proven experience of working collaboratively with stakeholders.
• Experience with requirements workshops, project documentation and specs, and engaging with other technical teams.
Technical Skills:
• MS Office with advanced Excel.
• Project management tools – Jira, Slack, Fresh, MS Project.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Process design and optimisation skills (Visio skills a bonus).
• Data analysis (power BI, SQL preferred).
• Main frame systems experience such as MIP

• Ability to understand and engage with technical and business teams on highly complex projects.
• Ability to communicates effectively with business, internal and stakeholders (at all levels of the organisation up to CEO/CFO level).
